Enter the income stream in your little golden boat and dream
and work and pray and play and do not stop. Keep going.
It will almost always seem impossible.
Jesus spoke of the peace that passes understanding, and loving our neighbors as ourselves, and even, loving our enemies. When my mountain top experience (which did happen on a mountain top) happened, I was so overcome with emotion! With tears. With anger. With passion. It was indeed like a third birthing.
And passion must be expressed.
Soul must be shared.
And dreams must be lived.
There are different forms of activism. And I think that those on the front lines of suffering, and those suffering, benefit in some metaphysical way from those us who dance for healing – who paint for transformation – who make chicken soup for family members – who garden to bring healing to the earthy – who do yoga bring world peace. Does it sound -oh-so-california?
When Grandma asked for her coat – my Mama Caron got her turquoise blue velvet coat out of the closet. When Grandma asked for her shoes, my Mama put her little blue slippers on her feet.
And it was so clear – that when I am speaking of creativity, it is NOT about being able to call oneself an artist – although that is good too. But about creativity as the spiritual practice, the mechanism through which to process the unsolved mysteries which knock on our door and pull at our heart.
