Imagine A Woman – Meet Me At The Sacred Circle
Imagine a woman who believes it is right and good she is a woman.
A woman who honors her experience and tells her stories.
Who refuses to carry the sins of others within her body and life.
Imagine a woman who trusts and respects herself.
A woman who listens to her needs and desires.
Who meets them with tenderness and grace.
Imagine a woman who acknowledges the past’s influence on the present.
A woman who has walked through her past.
Who has healed into the present.
Imagine a woman who authors her own life.
A woman who exerts, initiates, and moves on her own behalf.
Who refuses to surrender except to her truest self and wisest voice.

MEET ME AT THE SACRED CIRCLE
Many years ago I met an amazing woman, a visionary, an author, a light being! Patricia Lynn Reilly! I was already a big fan of her work having read A God Who Looks like me at the beginning of my early explorations into the feminine.
Since that time I have had the pleasure of sharing meals and conversation with her…and sharing ideas and plans for the future. Our paths have crossed and criss-crossed and we have met in sacred circle in different ways as we dance across the universe sharing our fruits.
Over dinner one night at La Chaval in Oakland, she said to me that making a book is like giving birth, and her books were her children. At that time I had finished my first book, and I wondered if it was like that for me. Yes. And each book after that was like she said, conception, gestation, planning, praying super hard, nurturing and eventually bringing the book out into the world to grow up and have it’s own life.
As anyone in the book world knows, the work really begins at a new level once the book is BORN. Books, like paintings and poems have a life of their own, a life that requires more of it’s author than she might have ever thought.
So when Patricia told me her plans for the Imagine a Woman worldwide circle, celebrating the life of her famous and incredible poem, I knew that I, and Cosmic Cowgirls would be a partner. Her call out to the women and girls of the world to love themselves and honor their bodies is very much like my own call. And clearly it is a good match for my paintings as well. So I am honored to be a part of this April 2 call to the world – join the sacred circle with me!
Patricia and I, and untold hundreds of thousands of other women will be there. Holding our hands out, connecting our red thread to one another – holding on, loving one another across those miles which become invisible in the presence of love. I invite you to join me at the sacred circle. One of my lifelong goals is for women not to feel isolated. Patricia’s circle is a part of that journey….
