This is the Day – Love Letter #47
Every day I am struck with our amazing ability to choose to be present to and in our lives, or not. I am amazed that we have so much choice in how our lives actually go – though I know there is plenty of “random” as well.
Last night at Cosmic Cowgirls, Sue Hoya and I had the incredible privilege of leading a creativity circle for a group of women friends, one of whom is on a cancer journey and may be in the last few months of her life. We made hand painted mobiles and crowns that each woman present contributed to through a prayer on a hand-painted heart for her friend. So at the end, each woman’s project had something from each of the other women – the hearts were tied on with red threads from our opening circle. And of course, add glitter. The wonderful woman whom we were celebrating and who was surrounded by the love of her girlfriends gave us some special teachings – one of which is: This is the day. She mentioned that the line in that gospel song, This is the day that the Lord has made inspired that thought…and she shared it with us. A gift. Continue reading

Calling In The Sparkle
ave you had the experience of the very AIR around you changing, seeming different- both in moments of bliss and pain? Times of miracles and grieving and transformations are moments when the air seems to me compressed and released and anointed with sparkle from On High. I have often wondered, since pain and miracles seem like something we can neither call on nor predict, but can certainly expect to show up -though with no idea when… is there a way to cause or call on the Sparkle from On High as needed? The answer of course is no and yes. Sparkle from on High is grace in its many sorted forms. Continue reading

The Hopi Ten, Grandma and building new altars
You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour. And there are things to be considered . . .
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your Truth.
Create your communities Continue reading

within the folds of her holy dress
In the folds of your dress
your holy garment
I bury my head
Smelling the sweet fragrance of your love
My little hands hidden in the layers of fabric
I try to be consumed and folded into your dress
I want to disappear into your being-ness
I pull up a fold and surround myself with silken fabric
Soft and giving, silky and strong
It is dark like your skin
and in these folds I can imagine
All the world is well and
I hear your soothing voice
speaking words of grace-filled wisdom Continue reading

Activating Your Seventh Sense – A Letter
The day when I was called forth from the sleep of making a living into the wake of making a life worth living, so much light and perception came that I almost lost my balance for the radiance of it. It wasn’t my light – I was just allowed to view it as Mama Mary pulled back the beaded curtain long enough for me to see and realize I had work to do here. I was called, but to what…I didn’t have yet words for the “what”. Continue reading

Struck With Passion – A Letter from Shiloh Sophia
punctuate my daily activities with big sweeping action steps about twice a month. I reach out beyond my immediate circle and I try something I haven’t tried before about what I am passionate about. Sometimes, it results in amazing incredible things and sometimes, nothing happens. BUT expressing my passion for life and love even if I don’t get the result I was trying for, keeps me awake, alert, truly passionate and engaged. I have EXPRESSED MY passion and it happens through e-mail, phone and in person and in paintings and writings. I feel the fire in my heart and it makes me feel a part of all that is, grateful to SPIRIT for igniting my soul with love, and it gives me a desire to keep serving. Continue reading

The Architecture of Possibility
he architecture of living with possibility is hope and creativity, and the way to make it happen, is to CHOOSE it. Here is what I personally choose every day, I do it in the morning, and when I forget throughout my day, I just keep coming back to it. This creates the “field” of possibility thinking that I live from. Then when I encounter challenges, I am armed with my choices. Continue reading

Re-Invention: What to do when things don’t turn out the way we wanted
hen we have tried all the tricks: the potions, the rituals, the positive thinking, the books and the seminars. When we have tried the quick fixes and the long fixes. All the stuff that was guaranteed to work if we will just work it – and it still isn’t working – then what? We keep waiting for our “ship to come in” meanwhile we are getting more behind every day.
When things are still not turning out as we had planned, no matter how hard we try – or how much we believe that it is going to flow to us with ease if we could just sit back and meditate on our ideal life, then what? What if we get cancer anyway? What if we are infertile? What if we have to get false teeth? What if there isn’t enough food in the cupboard? What if there is no cupboard? What if we lose our house after years of good behavior at the banks? What if there was no house? What if we cannot get a good nights sleep and we see the whole world through wonky spectacles? What if the good die young and the bad keep toasting their champagne glasses? What if, after years of diligent action, our business fails anyway? What about running out of ideas? What then? Continue reading
