How do you deal with your past?
Ah, two weeks later and I have used a chainsaw sized tool to carve out some time finally to dream my future. I get to go to the future dreaming room so I get a cup of tea, wash the dishes, call my mother and then, change into something more futuristic and I step on through. The Spirit of Hope – A Writing for Spring
It is Spring Eve, she said to all the Doubts.
Gather around! All of you.
One by one, she called their names aloud:
Fear…Neglect…Sadness…Guilt…Worry…
Lack…Shame…Carelessness…Overdoing…
Like little mice in a fairy tale gone wrong
they congregated at the hem of her garment.
With kindness and fierceness in her voice,
She continued to call on all that prevents:
Gather around! All of you!
Non-Action…Blame…Regret…Cold Heart…
Envy…Judgment…Greed..Malice…
and you too, yes you! Mediocrity. Cynicism.
and Just Joking. And you!
Unwilling to change. Unwilling to look.
Unwilling to see what is needed.

Join me in a Sabbath? A call to rest instead of a call to action..
Why were we commanded to rest? In a world that’s gone mad, I think it is pretty obvious what happens when folks don’t get enough rest. I have often thought to myself, how can we not covet, steal and kill if we do not rest? Maybe Creator or Mother and Father Divine, put it there for a reason. You think? Even our cattle are not supposed to work. Around Cosmic Cowgirls if we don’t have a workshop, we don’t e-mail amongst ourselves on the weekends mostly, and we don’t work unless we absolutely have to – and we put our horses out into the meadow. There is a decency in stopping working — and we need it.

What am I supposed to be doing? And Spirited Woman blogger on the move!
That being said, with all the doomsday reports of everything – I can only feel that I should do that which I am here to do. Sounds simple? Not so simple. I have chosen to do the work I am called to – the creative work. Now some might think that is not as important as other saving the world work, but I have answered the call to create. I cannot do all of it, that I know. Why does doing creative work make us feel guilty? As if it is supposed to amount to something significant or salable to be worthy? I think creativity, the artists, poets, dancers, thinkers and raw food recipe makers are holding the world together through fine golden threads which woven throughout the greed and destruction keep the particles of life from flying apart.
