Welcome to my rambling path. Exploring faith, creativity, wildness, compassion and the mystery of life. I write and paint about being here on earth, loving all of it and seeking peace, even amidst the chaos and suffering. Oh Holy Lady of the Red Thread, please make this journal a blessing and an inspiration! Amen.

Dear Shiloh
thank you for responding and your kind words. I have been going thru your website and reading as much as I can. There is so much to chose from. The other day I was driving and could sense my sadness. By the time I got to work, my co-workers could sense my quietness. Someone asked how I was doing, and my the words out of my mouth were my inner joy is dimmished. I don't know where those words came from, but they comforted me. I am working on a thank you card for Deva to send out to so many people. I too feel that color, or painting, or using different art mediums are healing to the soul. Your words empower me to find my own prayer or at least give me encouragement that I can find a way to help her. We happened to go out the other night and as usual, we got to talking to other people chatting about the weather, the holiday days (the holy days, which by the way I am still celebrating). Someone asked Deva about her Christmas, her gifts from her husband and kids, did she get a lot gifts. It was one of those times, where there is silence in the air....yet she said out loud, my husband, my two beautiful children and brother were killed in an accident. She looked at me and said I do good right, I said it out loud. It was heartbreaking then as it now when I say, YET REWARDING, because she owned it.
I am going to the Austin Store called Book Women to buy your journal. I can only afford to buy one, but I want to share this with many women. We are getting ready to study Mary (our blessed mother) in our Small Christian Community. I am so excited, from birth to death, Mary's role was so huge in Jesus's life. With Lent coming up, I thought why not study Mary. I think journal will be helpful with our studying. Let the healing begin!!!!

Love you and thank you for the wonderful I Believe Downloaded Poster, can you send it to me. I could not find how to download. I don't mind purchasing it either! I have a few items in my cart today, can't wait to receive them!

Deidre,
My goodness I am so sorry for your friend - it continues to amaze me what we endure on this planet. Even with faith in GOD I am continually amazed at what pain we each endure and what sense we have to make of all of it.
You cannot know what it means to me - for any sentence I write to be meaningful in that way to someone - that you feel like you can go there to find something that would even begin to be appropriate for someone suffering - thank you beyond words for telling me that. When I think of your friend and her loss I can hardly breathe - the senselessness of the tragedy here is something I try to make tiny particles of sense of with my writings and my paintings. I send you love this night. let us both keep reaching for GOD and the hem of the Virgin's garment. There is a new one called Oh Sorrow! that addresses my recent upset...I will pray for your friend this Sunday at church, and thank you for your prayers. I need them. with love unending, Shiloh Sophia

Dearest Shiloh
I have been visiting your website for a good while now. I usually visit when I am feeling a little down, or have sorrow in my life. Recently, my husbands very best friend was killed along with his two children in a tragic car accident. His young wife survived and we have been left to help her heal. when I need words of comfort to give her, I come to your website. I was looking for a prayer that I could use for her, something that I could print out for her, where it could be beside her when she needs to read it. I love your paintings and find myself drawn to them. I am a catholic, yet loving exlporing or borrowing from other spiritul people or reglious. I don't believe that I am greater than anyone else just because I believe, I actually find it can be overwhelming as to when to share with others. Yet it make is so easy for me to talk about you and share you. There is a book store in Austin Texas that carries some of your items, "Book Woman". I just wanted you to know that reading you is "seeing you" and I am grateful that you share with so many. Thank you. I look forward to reading thru some of your poetry and prayers. I will pray for you to continue to be a voice for many!
Love
