I get to enter a conversation in some cosmic way, with you. If you were here I would want to know, how you are feeling about the world right now. How your plans are working out. How our economy and it’s blessings and challenges are changing how you live. I would ask you about your loved ones. Who is happy and who is not doing so good. I would want to know, most of all, about your heart. And what you are doing to nurture it.

that is real and true
if not our love?

and the love I am speaking of
lives at #99 deep on the list of levels.

Imagine if the yoga teacher were to say,
now we are going to “build a dream” instead of back into “downward dog” which sounds more like
option number #82 in the sex guide for dummies.

millions around the world
join us in our celebration of “bright sadness’
head bowed down to the ground again
many times tonight we enter more fully
God’s embrace
many people here and everywhere

And we gazed upon our beautiful mother,
and she said: Thousands of years from now,
when people say, How beautiful your children are!

Mothers, fathers, clasp the children
Mothers, fathers, clasp the children, tie them to your breast
and beam like flashlights, hold the children praise them with buckets
of raspberries, shiny as jelly, give them you.
Show them they are green-worthy as grass in rain, lofty as kite-flying by the Bay,
sharp as sunrise after an ice-storm.
Grasp them, study their eyes, talk [...]
